The Parc des Parelles is a secret destination that reveals a wild, almost magical nature.
The vegetation has reclaimed its place in this old granite quarry. You are invited to enjoy this remarkable site with its tranquility of a forest, clearings dotted with giant moss covered granite blocks, and its footpaths crossed by streams.
At its heart is an amphitheatre amid greenery, which in the summer comes alive with performances of music and story telling.
This site inspired George Sand's novel Nanon: "An oasis of greenery and granite, a labyrinth where everything was refuge and mystery." Classified as a "Sensitive Natural Area", The Parc des Parelles offers visitors a range of landscapes typical of Berry, on the borders of Limousin.
